New in Knowledge
So much is going on all the time with Magento that it's easy to lose track of what new content is available in the Magento world and where to find it. I'll be posting semi-regularly to help flag new and interesting content for you. Our big initiatives over the last couple of weeks have been to update and refresh the Knowledge Base and to kick off our new Summer Webinar Series, so let's start there.
Knowledge Base Relaunch
We've updated and refreshed the Magento Knowledge Base and are consolidating all of our Magento knowledge sources into it to make it the hub for all your Magento knowledge seeking.
We have some great articles to christen the new Knowledge Base. Alan Storm has written a nine-part "Magento for Developers" series to help introduce PHP developers to Magento's architecture and approach to customizing and extending Magento. You can check out the first three installments in Alan's series:

We've also kicked off our first-ever series of training webinars as our Summer Webinar Series. These are getting started webinars designed to help new users get up to speed with Magento more quickly. These have generated a huge amount of interest and we're really excited about this program and how we can continue to build it out going forward. Magento CE Version 1.4.1.1 Stable - Patch
As some community members reported there was a problem with one of the PEAR packages published for the 1.4.1.1 release.
The problem is fixed on our PEAR channels. But if you already downloaded or upgraded your installation and are experiencing the issue you will need to apply the following patch:

Magento Preview Version 1.4.2.0-beta1 - Now Available!
We are happy to announce the availability of Magento Preview Version 1.4.2.0-beta1 for download.
As this is a preview version it is NOT recommended in any way to be used in a production environment (more information about preview releases and the new community edition release process can be found in this blog post). This release is NOT available for upgrade through Magento Connect Manager and is only available on our download page.
This release includes the new Magento Connect Manager (MCM) and allows the community to start testing the new MCM and Magento Connect 2.

Bargento 4 Recap and Video
Bargento 4 was a total success! We welcomed 624 people of 17 different nationalities at the CAP 15 conference hall. Aside from the beautiful view of the Parisian skyline, Bargento 4 was the ideal place for learning more about the developments and trends in the market while also learning about Magento best practices and solution partners.
The conference, held between two rooms- one for English and one for French- offered a diverse and equally beneficial platform for those looking to get the most out of their affiliation with Magento.
The biggest Magento event world-wide, hosted by NBS System and Fragento, was pleased to present Magento's own Roy Rubin (CEO), Yoav Kutner (CTO), Amit Shah (VP Sales) and Bob Schwartz (President) as well as to provide a stage for some exciting new additions to Paypal.
Many are excited to hear that Bargento 5 has already been scheduled!
Save the date! Bargento 5 is scheduled for November 8, 2010 in France and November 11, 2010 in Spain!

Meet Magento #4.10, Leipzig, Germany: November 4th—5th, 2010
After great success in May 2010 with an attendance of more than 450 participants, the organizers of Meet Magento invite you join them November 4-5 at the Technology Center "GaraGe" in Leipzig, Germany. There will be a Conference Committee that ensures the quality of topics and benefits from the specific knowledge of experts.
For "Meet Magento # 4.10", attendees can expect to hear from CEO Roy Rubin, President Bob Schwartz and CTO Yoav Kutner.
